The monsoon is fast receding now. However these pictures were taken on a rainy afternoon around two weeks ago, at a place approximately eighty kilo meters north of Mumbai.
The cloud cover was so heavy that it cast a deep shadow, darkening the vista at 1 o’clock in the afternoon.
The rain laden clouds moved lower and lower, covering the mountain tops and then showering the lush greens and the ponds with more life- i.e. water.
