Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore is well-known as a great poet and writer. But he is also renowned as an accomplished painter. And to think that he was seventy years of age when he took first steps towards this art!
Imagine, at that age most of the people are either cribbing about things they could not achieve in life or they choose to let go, sit back contently and wait for that final call. In short, everyone just assumes that life is over and there is nothing more to do or achieve.
But why talk only about old age? Many a times people much younger than that also give up their dreams, thinking it is too late. So it is not the question of only age. It is a question of your conviction, your passion for a certain thing or your dreams. If you believe in something, if you have determination to work for it and give it a try, then it is never too late to go for it.
One need not think that only great people can achieve whatever they want or whenever they decide to achieve a dream. Even common people like you and me can have our dreams and try to fulfil those dreams.
A friend of mine was a banker all through her life; after her retirement she chose nutrition, studied hard and today she is a nutritionist. This is just an example, there are others who have changed the course of their lives and tried to find happiness. So why brood over what might have been?
So, I feel, it is never too late to strive to achieve your dreams, you owe it to yourself —-
