I Am Happy When …….

It is true that happiness is elusive. Neither does it last forever nor can we hold on to it eternally.

So I feel that we have to look for that happiness in every little thing possible. After-all it depends on individual perception. Just as ‘Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder’, Β in the same way happiness is born and felt in the mind of an individual. To each his own.

In my view, happiness is not like some grand full moon that may suddenly appear on your doorstep; it is like fine stardust – dispersed in all the nooks and corners of our lives. We just have to keep our eyes peeled and pick up those specs of sparklers called – happiness.

The joyful moments could be found hidden in anything —— unexpectedly hearing from or coming across someone whom you thought you had long forgotten, a tiny elusive sparrow suddenly hopping in through your window and chirping around for a moment, perfectly tantalising aroma of a recipe that you tried for the first time, a casual doodle coming alive with twinkling eyes ……….. the list could go on and on. And for each person it could be different.

At least for me such simple things also bring a smile and cheer. I have realised that it need not be only some special or extraordinary thing or some momentous occasion to make us happy. We should look for it in such tiny moments and ultimately, a collection of such scintillating moments fill up our everyday life with joy and smiles πŸ™‚

You’re right. Sometimes it’s the little things that give us such Joy. My favourite part was “We should look for it in such tiny moments and ultimately, a collection of such scintillating moments fill up our everyday life with joy and smiles”. I loved this! ❀😊 Great job, Savita!
